Television Commercial

I saw the following television commercial yesterday. It opens with a young man in his late teens/early twenties standing in front of a roadside vendor selling music CDs. He picks up a music CD and then tells the vendor, “I only want one song on this CD. Can I buy only one song?” The vendor responds agrily to him and he walks away without buying it. A logo then comes up on the television for one of the local Internet companies and the voiceover implies, “Use our service and just download it for free.”

Ouch! No doubt that’s what most people in Asia do. I’m guilty.

Sure. I was just very surprised to see it in a mainstream television commercial. I can’t imagine someone running something like that on TV in the US. I don’t think lawyers would be able to stop salivating.
